Article Processing Charges (APC)
To maintain the quality and sustainability of the Journal of Nursing and Midwifery Innovation, an Article Processing Charge (APC) applies to all accepted articles. The APC helps cover the costs associated with the peer review process, editorial handling, and the production and online dissemination of each article.
APC Fees:
-
Standard APC: 00,00 per accepted article (Free APC).
The APC is only applicable after an article has been accepted for publication following peer review. The APC will be invoiced to the corresponding author once the manuscript is accepted, and payment is required before the article can be published in the journal.
Waivers and Discounts:
The journal recognizes that authors from low-income or underfunded institutions may face financial challenges in covering the APC. As such, we offer waivers or discounts on a case-by-case basis. Authors who feel they qualify for a waiver or discount should contact the editorial office upon submission to request more information.
What the APC Covers:
-
Peer review management: Covering the costs of managing the peer review process, including editorial work and reviewer compensation.
-
Article formatting and production: Preparing the article for online publication, including typesetting, proofreading, and image processing.
-
Online hosting and dissemination: Providing open access to the article through our website and other online databases, ensuring maximum visibility and reach.
-
Archiving and long-term preservation: Ensuring that published articles are archived and accessible long-term, complying with standards for digital preservation.
